Barry Bonds Reaching for Immortaility in Loss

San Francisco Giant slugger Barry Bonds is continuing his run for baseball immortality as he hit another home run in Fenway Park today, in a loss to the Red Sox 9-5. The run gives Bonds his 748th home run, putting him just eight runs away from Hank Aaron's all-time record. An nteresting stat about the hit was that it came from a pitch from Tim Wakefield, who played with Bonds during his career as a Pittsburgh Pirate. Wakefield becomes the impressive 441st pitcher that Barry Bonds has been credited for knocking a run out of the park from.
