Griffey to Stay in Ohio
Although Ken Griffey Jr.'s talent levels are far superior to the rest of the Cincinnati Reds team that can't come close to a bid in the World Series, Griffey is setting an example for other talented players stuck on a downhill team in professional baseball. That would be to stop pestering the organization for a trade and to stop publicizing their intentions to the media. Griffey announced that he will finish his playing time in Cincinatti and then get a new contract with another team, even though he could be picked up immedietely by another ball club. Although it could be viewed as a stange fit for a possible all-star candidate, its his choice and he made the right one.
