Edwards clinches victory in Michigan
In Michigan, rising star racer Carl Edwards claimed victory at Michigan International Speedway and snapped his 52-race Nextel Cup losing streak. "It was very difficult to stay composed, especially when Martin was closing in," Edwards said. "To me, second place would have felt the same as chopping off my arm. I wanted to win. That's it." Even the fans of other racers left the track with a sight they'll never forget: Edwards' signature backflip off the top of his car, and actually sticking it like a professional gymnast.
