After a long, hard, tough, regular season of play, the Oregon State Beavers showed champion status once again, winning consecutive college baseball championships. Oregon State showed great resiliance, carving a path through their CWS bracket last week to head into the finals undefeated to await their challenger. Although their opposition, the North Carolina Tar Heels were experienced and talented enough, the Beavers wiped them away 11-4 to put the Tar Heels on the brink of elimination. Then, it was time for Oregon State to prove their champion status, and they did so, bringing in runs and hits to win over the Heels 9-3. The Beavers now are the most recent team in College World Series history to win back to back titles.
P.S. Sorry to a good friend who strongly roots for UNC, they'll be back next year!
