1. New England Patriots- As a whole team, they deserve all the praise that they deserve. Looking at Brady's stats with a withering receiving corps last year, and reasoning what they will be with the newly added wide outs this year, the results could be scary. They made some fantastic pickups during the course of the off season, including Adalius Thomas from the Ravens, Dante Stallworth from the Eagles, and Randy Moss from the Raiders. By drastically improving their offense and defense, they are worthy of the top team in the AFC position this off season.
2. Denver Broncos- Although other teams could fit here, the Broncos have one of the most balanced rosters in the NFL year in and year out and will continue the trend this year. Their cornerback tandem is possibly the scariest in the NFL, riding the one of the best corners in history, Champ Bailey and terrifying Dre Bly who was acquired this off season. They've got key players back from injury, such as Sam Brandon, Nick Ferguson, and Rod Smith. They recently picked up Travis Henry, a 1000 yard back in some of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, just imagine his skill level in Denver. With all these weapons around him, quarterback Jay Cutler who will be in his first full year as a starter, can take advantage of the talent around him to shred opposing teams defenses.
3. San Diego Chargers- This team looks to rebound from their offseason losses of a head coach, offensive and defensive coordinators and their tight end coach. They now have an experienced coaching leader in Norv Turner, who has been with Super Bowl teams before. The returning talent of L.T. combined with the emerging skill of Phillip Rivers will be able to give opposing teams a scare before walking out onto the playing field.
4. Indianapolis Colts- Although they are defending champions, they had some losses over the off season, Dominic Rhodes, Nick Harper, and Cato June all left the team. Yet they still have their powerhouse and leadership qualities in Peyton Manning, Marvin Harrison, and Reggie Wayne. The challenge will be seeing how they adjust to the rising teams in their conference and division, such as the Titans, Texans, and Jaguars.
5. New York Jets- This is a highly questionable call here, yet their talent could lead them to near the top of the conference. They bolstered their defense by drafting Darrelle Revis at cornerback, and with the rapidly improving Chad Pennigton at the helm of quarterback, this team may be able to pose a serious threat in the AFC and make this prediction come true.

Alright here I go, I'll do this my playoff terms, so the 5th team may be better than the 4th team and stuff like that.
AFC Homefield advantage
New England Patriots
With all those free agents they look scary... on paper. They have the regular season talent to win homefield advantage under Tom Brady, but I worry about cohesion for the team. they added like 6 new wide recievers in the offseason. >_> They wont win a game in the playoffs. Bank on it.
AFC 2nd Seed, AFC South Champs
Indianapolis Colts. I have no reason to believe they have declined as much as these analysts say they have. Their defense sucked last year, so that doesn't mean they are suddenly going to get worse by that. Addition by subtraction. You may criticize their draft strategy but they have always been an offense first team. They will not win the Super Bowl either.
3. AFC West Champs
San Diego Chargers. I seriously worry about this team being at my 3 slot, but they are good, and they have the leagues MVP. As long as Phillip Rivers doesn't lose games, they will go far. Somehow I think the coaching changes will hurt more than a lot of you may think. Still they have a ton of talent, so I think they can carry themselves to they AFC West Crown.
4. AFC North Champions
Pittsburgh Steelers
Just a hunch. Really, It's nothing more than that.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars
What, a broncos fan and he still hasn't put in the Broncos? Blashphemy! Well I can assure it isn't. I'm trying to be realistic with my picks, and a not a dumb homer. The AFC is a tough division, and the Jaguars are a tough team. They can beat the Colts and any of the teams listed ahead of them. Only problem is that they don't always come to play. Lack of effort puts them down here, but they do have a pro bowl defense, and a ton of talent all over. They will go to the 2nd round.
6. Denver Broncos
About time right? Well the revamped offense and defense should bring them to the playoffs in this tough conference. TO give you an idea of how tough the conference is, I'd have Denver in the top 3 in the NFC. THere is a ton of talent at almost all the positions. We may be a little weak in the right side of the offensive line, but Ryan Harris can help us a bit there. The defenive line is a revolving door, but we can have fresh legs in the trenches, which is killer. I want to say anymore otherwise I'll be kissing Champ Bailey's ass for about 10 lines.
Honoarble mentions: Chiefs, Ravens, Bengals, Jets, Titans
I agree with you on the most part but putting the Broncos lower than the Jaguars? The Broncos really have a better all-around team then the Jags and it'll come up in the score sheet next year.
JETS JETS JETS ROXX!! hahaha love that review and btw this is tracie kimmy gave me the site and kimmy says hi and that the broncoes ^^spelling^^ sux
Well give me an article to prove the Jets are actually worthy of my awesome blog. Oh and tell Kimmy I said hi. (why didn't you just e-mail me this again?)
How exactly do the Broncos have a better all-around team?
than the Jags? (Meant to put this in my other comment)
