David Beckham Watch: Beckham Arrives

David Beckham arrived in Las Angeles to a stylish welcome to the MLS, as he proudly held up his Galaxy jersey sporting the number 23. Confetti seemed to rain from the skies Friday, as cannons fired up colored paper into the air at the LA Galaxy soccer stadium. Beckham met with the press as his wife, Victoria Beckham, posed for picture taking. Bechkham will make close to a yearly salary of five million dollars, not including commercial benefits. Beckham made the deal for playing time with the Galaxy while playing for Real Madrid, and his youthful talents powered the team to the Spanish league championship. Beckham will play his first game with the Las Angeles Galaxy on July 21, as he takes on Chelsea, a member of the French Premier League, who Beckham has much career experience against.
