July 6: This Day in the History of Sports

Sorry for not having any of yesterday's features up on the blog, but I'll keep on track as long as I have readers and comments. Lets get things going again!

This Day in Sports History

1933- In the city of Chicago, Illinois, the greatest baseball players in the country gathered for the first official major league baseball all-star match up. The teams were made up of players from the National league and American league respectively. In the first all-star game, the American League team defeated the National League team by a score of 4-2. This all-star game tradition still continues today in baseball, and the annual game for 2007 will be held in the upcoming week in San Francisco.
